One screen before your paywall, people tell you why they came and which maps they want to follow. Five changes put that on mapstr plus.
Millions of dollars in subscription revenue pass through Flow Builder every month.
Nearly 500 apps actively build their paywalls and onboarding in it — plenty of them past $100K MRR.
Adapty powers subscriptions for 30,000+ apps, so we see what moves conversion across the market, not inside one app. We went through Mapstr’s sign-up, answered “Why do you want to use mapstr?”, followed the must-have maps, reached the mapstr plus paywall, read your App Store listings and mapstr.com, and rebuilt that screen.
There is a lot to keep: a real 7-day trial with a Day 5 reminder, an annual and a monthly plan, a clear feature carousel and a 5-star review. What it does not do is use the two answers it just collected. Someone who followed The World’s 50 Best Bars one tap earlier sees a generic map illustration, Overlay maps is two swipes into the carousel, your 4 million users and 30K French ratings never appear, and closing it ends the conversation.
Your yellow wave, the mapstr plus logo, the feature carousel and its emoji, the two plan cards with the black “The more popular” tag, the underlined trial line, the Today / Day 5 timeline, the review card and the yellow “Start for free” button all stay. Only the words, the order and two small additions change.
We are working from the outside, so we cannot see your experiment history. If you have already run one of these, tell us and we will go deeper on the rest.
Each one opens the prototype with that change highlighted.
Together, the five make mapstr plus about the maps she just followed and the reason she came, with your proof beside the price and a second door when she closes it.
I’ve been wanting an app like this for so long as google maps keys weren’t specific enough for me.
The name comes from sign-up. The reasons and the maps come from the two screens above the paywall: change them there and mapstr plus rewrites itself.
